Street Fighter 6 features perfect win animations — Luke dances like a TikToker

He does.

Street Fighter 6’s official roster of playable characters may not be very long at the moment, but characters like Luke, Ryu, Chun-Li, and others are receiving additional flair. As it turns out, achieving a flawless round—beating your adversary while suffering no personal injury—will result in a special animation.

Capcom’s brand manager Matthew Edwards posted an image of this on Twitter. Luke can be seen jubilantly dancing and beaming in the video that Edwards posted to his tweet. Luke is undoubtedly a member of the TikTok generation, jokes Edwards. The video’s vertical aspect ratio makes it appear as though it was taken directly from TikTok. “Wondering what the other immaculate win animations look like,” concludes Edwards. We agree. The team’s celebration of a flawless victory will be entertaining to watch, even though a military man like Guile is unlikely to dance.

Speaking of the roster, the full, claimed Street Fighter 6 roster leaked shortly after the first footage was presented, which is why we originally referred to it as the “official list of characters.” There were some newcomers like the muscular Marisa and the enigmatic A.K.I., as well as more veterans like Blanka, Dhalsim, and Zangief. Furthermore, by claiming that we weren’t intended to see those photographs so soon, Capcom practically confirmed the roster.

In any event, the whole game won’t be played until the next year. Street Fighter 6 will launch on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam at some point in 2023. As Street Fighter 6 demo kiosks will be present at the yearly competition, EVO attendees will be able to play the game there. New additions include a Drive system and streamlined contemporary controls in addition to the ideal win animations. All three will be on display for the EVO audience at the event, which runs from Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7.
