San Antonio police say that the assault was in a restaurant downtown

A 30-year-old man assaulted a restaurant employee over food and bills on Friday. Police took the man into custody.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 30-year-old man was arrested after he assaulted a restaurant employee over a dispute over food and bill.

It happened in downtown San Antonio’s 500 block of River Walk on Friday.

When police arrived, they found the suspect, a 30-year-old employee of the restaurant, fighting with the victim.

The suspect, according to authorities, was “displeased with the staff’s handling of his food and bill. In addition to the victim, the suspect began arguing with members of the staff.”

The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim as well as other members of the staff after the argument devolved into physical violence. In custody, they were booked for Assault/Bodily Injury, but their identity hasn’t been made public.

More than 500 people have liked the video of the incident, which has nearly 25,000 views.
