The following players have been confirmed for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team for the 2022 season: IPL’s Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the teams that will compete in the final round of the mega auction. This time around, Bangalore made sure to hold on to Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammad Siraj through the retention process. After a fierce competition with Chennai Super Kings on the first day of the auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore was able to purchase the Proteas star cricketer Faf du Plessis for the price of Rs 6 crore, making him their first player acquisition.

After that, Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired their former star player, Harshal Patel. Hershel’s comeback performance in Bangalore was sold for 10.75 million rupees. After that, the Sri Lankan cricketer Vanindu Hasarangar was also bought back by the team for 10 billion and 75 million rupees. In addition, the veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has rejoined the Royal Challengers Bangalore after an absence of six years. At the conclusion of the two-day mega auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore had acquired a total of 22 cricket players.

Despite having a high popularity rating but no trophies to show for it, Royal Challengers Bangalore has finished in second place three times in the Indian Premier League. In the 2017 competition, RCB finished in ninth place, and in the 2018 competition, they came in sixth. They were the second most expensive franchise to be purchased in 2008, going for a total of Rs 464 crore, which is equivalent to approximately US$111.6 million. Vijay Mallya, the chairman of United Breweries Limited, ultimately decided to sell the team to Diageo India in the year 2015.

“We are very happy with the way our squad is shaped with the new inclusions around the retained talents,” said Mike Hesson, Director of Cricket Operations for Royal Challengers Bangalore. “We are looking forward to the upcoming season.” It is a really well-balanced team with players from both abroad and from the United States. With the exception of the retained players, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is in a difficult position regarding the question of whether or not they will be able to acquire a capable skipper for their team in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
