Golladay will receive an average yearly salary of $18 million from it, ranking him as the sixth best paid wide receiver in the NFL. And it’s quite the pay raise from last season – a whopping 2152 percent increase, in fact.

Golladay, a third-round selection in 2017, was still under contract with his rookie team. He made $799,081 in 2020, which put him as the 150th-highest-paid receiver in the league.

Golladay has since joined New York’s dynamic youthful core, which is captained by quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones was one of the players that recruited Golladay, and the duo believes it can help return the team to the playoffs. Since Odell Beckham Jr. left the Giants following the 2018 season, the team has never had a real No. 1 receiver. Golladay made the Pro Bowl in 2019, his best year yet as a pro. He accumulates 138 receptions, 3,068 yards, and 21 touchdowns throughout his time in Detroit.

Now, he’s headed to the bright lights and intense media pressure of New York. But he’s ready for a new beginning and ought to be in good health and spirits by the start of the 2021 season.
