Trump’s ex-wife, Ivana Trump, died from injuries sustained in a fall, according to the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which made the announcement Friday.

Ivana Trump, the wife of former President Trump, died at her New York City home on Thursday, the former president said. She had reached the ripe old age of 73.

Donald Trump’s first wife was Ivana Trump. Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump were all born to them.

“Survivor: Ivana Trump was Ivana Trump’s mother. She came to this country after fleeing communism. She instilled in her children a sense of grit and toughness, as well as compassion and tenacity, through her example “said the family. Mother, three children, and ten grandchildren are mourning her death.

“It’s been a very sad day,” Eric Trump said as he left his mother’s apartment building Thursday afternoon.

A 73-year-old woman was found by Manhattan paramedics responding to a call for cardiac arrest just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the FDNY. The New York City Police Department confirmed that she had died on the spot.

She died on Friday from blunt impact injuries to the torso caused by a fall, the medical examiner said. The medical examiner has determined that the death was accidental and not suspicious.

The former president described Ivana as “a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life” in a statement on his platform Truth Social.

“Her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, were her pride and joy,” he wrote. We all felt the same way about her, and she felt the same way about us.

“She was brilliant, charming, passionate, and wickedly funny,” Ivanka Trump recalled of her mother.

“She lived life to the fullest… never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” Ivanka Trump tweeted while sharing a childhood photo of herself and her mother. “I’ll miss her forever, but I’ll always remember her in my heart.”

Under communist rule in the Czech Republic, Ivana Trump was raised by her mother Ivana Zelnková. Trump wed Ivana in 1977, a year after she emigrated in the late 1970s.

She has been a senior executive in Trump’s business empire for many years. Donald Trump’s Atlantic City hotel casino, Trump’s Castle, named her CEO and she helped design the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower interiors. In addition, she is the author of a number of best-selling books and has her own fashion line.

“Every day, no matter how hectic my schedule was, I made time for breakfast with my children. As Ivana Trump recounted in her memoir, “Raising Trump,” “I sat with them at dinner every night and helped them with their homework (I loved algebra) before going out to a rubber-chicken charity event.”” “We celebrated, travelled, and mourned together as a family. It was and still is our most prized possession: our bond.”

In 1992, Trump and Ivana divorced. Revelations that he was having an affair with Marla Maples, who would become his second wife, shattered their marriage.

On ABC’s Amy Robach, Ivana Trump said she had forgiven her ex-husband in 2017. The years she spent raising her children with Donald Trump were also described.

That wasn’t to say that he wasn’t a good dad, but he wasn’t the kind of dad who would take his kids for a walk in Central Park or play baseball with them. According to her, “he could communicate with them, because he could start to talk business with them,” when they “were about 18 years old.”
