Appeal after pedestrian injured in crash

The pedestrian was taken to hospital after the crash on Conway Street, police say.

A pedestrian was struck by a van on Friday, and Jersey Police have made an appeal for witnesses to the incident.

According to police, at at 15:20 BST, an elderly pedestrian was struck by a white Ford Transit Van at a crossing on Conway Street by the entrance to Bond Street in St. Helier.

The pedestrian was injured severely and brought to the hospital.

The police have urged witnesses to get in touch with them or Crimestoppers.
