The first Caring for Women dinner will be held at Kering Foundation, the luxury company’s philanthropic arm. Proceeds from the event will go to organizations working to prevent gender-based violence.

The organization has secured a lineup of co-chairs that includes Kering chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault, wife Salma Hayek Pinault, Gisele Bündchen, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Samuel L. Jackson, Julie Mehretu, and Gloria Steinem. Anderson Cooper will serve as the event’s host on September 15 at The Pool on Park Avenue.

The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), the Global Fund For Women, and the Ms. Foundation For Women are just a few of the local NGOs that will receive donations directly from the Kering Foundation in support of the cause.

According to Pinault, who also serves as head of the Kering Foundation, “Kering and its houses stand in active opposition against all forms of violence against women. The Kering Foundation is firm in its objective to build a world where women may live freely in physical and psychological safety.” “The Caring for Women event signifies a milestone in our 14-year partnership with front-line groups that enable women survivors to flee violence and rebuild their lives,” the charity stated.
