According to authorities, a 17-year-old Alexandria, Virginia, boy was shot and killed on Saturday night in Northeast D.C.
According to investigators, the victim was Damari Deon Wright.
At at 5:25 p.m., officers were called to the 3500 block of Hayes Street NE after hearing gunshots. Police reported that Wright was discovered dead inside a car.
A lot of police officers were visible close to an apartment complex and a forested area.

No information on a suspect or a potential reason was immediately made public. Police want anyone with potentially useful information to get in touch. There is a reward of up to $25,000.
Wright is one of several young individuals who have lately been shot and killed in Washington, D.C., including Levoire Simmons, 16, who was killed on Tuesday in the Northeast.
