After A Year With No Sale, Pierce Brosnan Takes His $100 Million Magical Malibu Mansion Off The Market

The spectacular home was first listed for sale by Brosnan and his wife Keely Brosnan in September of last year, and in the ensuing year, they never tried to reduce the asking price in an effort to find a buyer.

Celebrities listing their properties for sale or eventually selling them are the two most typical sorts of celebrity real estate stories. But former 007 Pierce Brosnan defied expectations with his $100 million Malibu property, which, according to the New York Post, not only went unsold after a year on the market but also had no offers. Accordingly, Brosnan has decided to keep the house for the time being.

Brosnan and his wife Keely Brosnan first put up the impressive property for sale in September of last year, and in the intervening 12 months they never tried to lower the asking price in order to find a buyer. But they have often offered it for rent over the years, including in 2004 when it was offered for $120,000 a month.

After spending time in Thailand filming the 1997 Bond adventure “Tomorrow Never Dies,” Brosnan bought and essentially created the estate known as Orchid House by purchasing two adjacent Malibu plots for a combined price of more than $7 million. He then built the massive main house and guest house (with a combined five bedrooms and 14 bathrooms) in a Thai-inspired architectural style.

“Discover 13,000 square feet of brand-new luxury with 120 feet of beachfront and breathtaking ocean and mountain vistas. This magical seaside estate designed by Ralph and Ross Anderson features contemporary Thai / Balinese architecture, soaring ceilings, walls of glass, lush tropical gardens, three master suites, a dozen bathrooms, well-appointed his and hers dressing rooms, and gourmet kitchen. A sizable saltwater pool, an indoor Japanese spa with soaking tub, an infrared or traditional sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge, and a full-size gym are among the additional amenities. Entertaining is made possible by a private screening room with bar, music room, library, separate guesthouse, and pool cabana.”
